Charity Golf Tournament!
Catholic Charities of Central Louisiana presents the Hole Lotta Fun Golf Tournament at Tamahka  (tuh-mock-uh) Trails, Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville. Friday, April 26, 2024. Lunch and Check-In at 12:15 p.m., Shotgun Start at 1:00 p.m.

Film Grant now available for film makers!!
CreateLouisiana is excited to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2024 French Culture Film Grant. The $25,000 cash grant supports one Louisiana filmmaking team to create a new film (a short-scripted film or documentary) featuring French culture and Louisiana talent. Celebrate Recovery

Don’t let the word “Recovery” fool you! Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-Centered 12 Step Recovery Program for ALL of life’s hurts, hang up and habits. Yes, it can provide freedom and healing from chemical dependency but it can also provide freedom and healing from issues such as divorce, grief, depression, anxiety, food issues, anger issues, sexual addiction, and so much more!

We meet every Monday at Word of Grace Ministries from 6pm-8pm. We have Large Group from 6-7pm, then Gender, Issue Specific Small Groups from 7pm-8pm.

Job and Recourses Fair!
The United Way of Central Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections will be holding a Job and Resource Fair geared towards second chance candidates, but all job seekers are welcome. It will be held on Wednesday, April 17th from 10am until 6pm in the Alexandria Mall. For more information go to
5k Color Run and Bass Fishing Tournament!!
The Acosta Foundation in Ville Platte is hosting its Annual 5k Color Run/Walk at Chicot (shee-co) State Park in Ville Platte beginning at 9:00 on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The event is sponsored by Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Proceeds from this event benefit cancer patients who have to travel out of town for cancer treatments, but who might be restricted by costs associated with travel and lodging.

The Second Annual Acosta Foundation Bass Fishing Tournament will also be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the south landing of Chicot (shee-co) State Park, 3469 Chicot Park Road in Ville Platte. Entry fee is $100 per boat with two participants allowed per boat. Registration is available online at or on the day of the tournament.  All proceeds benefit the charitable work of The Acosta Foundation.
